A vivid landscape photograph of the Bridge over the River Yare

Year to Date, Photographing the UEA Broad

Pretty much a year ago on Friday I was down at the UEA Broad taking some photos (click here), so with the light looking promising, for nostalgia sake I headed back down. I haven’t had much luck with nice light recently, which is odd seeing how dramatic some of the recent sunsets have been, So I’m planning some dedicated shoots later on in the month.

When I got the the broad, there was a huge bank of cloud on the horizon which could have gone any of two ways, unfortunately it ended up covering the horizon and drowning out the wonderful light that could have been, so I turned around to get the remaining higher clouds that where just catching it.

I’ve always thought that this was a picturesque spot and there is a nice balance in textures to give the image a vivid and contrast-y look. Hopefully when I head to Castle Acre and the North Coast later on I will have more luck with the dramatic skies.
