Norwich in Sunset
Whilst last night still didn’t quite develop into the beautiful sky that I had wanted, it did produce some interesting cloud formations. This is a 60 second exposure with 2 ND filters on to reduce the amount of light going in to the lens, allowing for such a long shot. By keeping the shutter open for that long, I was able to blur the motion of the clouds and keep the dynamic range in the lower half of the image. The filters also meant that I could shoot at f8, which is the sharpest aperture on my lens.
I did also happen to get some cool timelapse footage, as the high atmosphere winds where quite high and blowing the clouds along nicely. I look forward to using that in an up and coming video!
